KFM - Fluid Management

Our Fluid Management service ensures your fluid system is providing the best results possible at the lowest cost. We are an independent service – we are not a mud company, nor a solids control company. In this way you are ensured of an unbiased assessment. Our personnel are senior technicians with no less than 10 years experience in their field, whether it is fluids or solids control. Many have over 20 years working on international projects in South America or other locations around the globe. With this type of experience, we are able to provide our clients with real solutions to reduce costs and improve performance.

Is not to be just another service company but a specialized member of your drilling team and provide proven results for our clients. We have the specialized tools and experience required to provide real solutions, not just opinions. We back up our recommendations by utilizing full Fluids Testing Systems, Particle Size analyzers or G force testing tools, which are just some of the equipment we have available. We track your fluid parameters, solids control efficiencies and waste streams to provide your team a comprehensive daily report that documents the progress and benefits of our services.
All of our testing is done using API Standards and Procedures.

We start our process by meeting your drilling team so we understand your challenges and the KPIs you want us to focus on. If available, any previous well reporting is reviewed so we can prepare a plan. An audit of the fluids/solids control system allows us to determine any deficiencies. Once operations commence, we provide one of our consultants on location to follow our plan working with the providers ensuring teamwork and communication. In addition to our onsite personnel, one of our senior supervisors is assigned to your project to provide guidance and liaise with your drilling team.

✓. DAK-1 – Our DAK-1 product can stabilize your cuttings using normally existing equipment -cuttings tanks, excavator and one dump truck. In less than an hour we can treat and stabilize your cuttings allowing for final displacement in your own approved disposal site, normally beside your drilling location. There is no need to haul native soil in to dilute cuttings to meet environmental regulations and due to the efficiency of our product there are only minimal volume increases, normally less than 2%.
We have worked with ANLA (Colombia Environment) to make sure we continuously meet all environmental regulations. After every well, samples are collected and tested by independent laboratories to ensure all environmental parameters (Louisianna Protocol 13C) are met. To date, we have treated over 300,000 bbls of cuttings in Colombia with zero issues.

Solid Lubricant Recovery System - (Bead Recovery System) – During complex directional, horizontal or very deep wells torque levels many times exceed what top drives can provide, or tubulars can handle. The current solution involves high-cost liquid lubricants and/or using solid lubricants (drilling beads) to reduce the torque levels. Liquid lubricants are not always effective and drilling bead costs can be very high considering the drilling beads are discarded as soon as they return to surface at the shale shakers.
